Centuri Mercury Redstone
looking for some info on the Centuri Mercury Redstone(ks-1) motor mount. the current Estes release of this kit has a motor overhang of 1/2", was wondering what the original kit called for?

The motor tube stuck out 1/16" behind the rear centering ring, and the rear centering ring was flush with the rear of the body tube. HTH.

the current set of instructions isn't exactly clear on that thanks. I was wondering how much of the motor stuck out of the motor mount. I would look it up on JimZs site however that set of instructions leads to a bunch of dead links.

To answer my own question, I was able to use the 'internet archive' to access the instructions. it would appear that Centuri was not in the habit of confusing folks with lots of measurements, however it looks like the motor overhang was about half as much as the current Estes re-issue. since I was already thinking to do that I'll follow the Centuri instructions on that bit .
