Unhappy RIP Bill Paxton

I just learned that Bill Paxton died from complications of surgery...

He was in many of the films I watched while I was growing up... From "Aliens", to "The Terminator", and "Weird Science".

And I'm sure we all can remember his role in Apollo 13 as Fred Haise.

Prayers for his family, and all his fans.

Rest In Peace Bill

I'm shocked!

He was unforgettable in Apollo 13, Twister, and Big Love!

Peaceful rest to you, sir.

A real shock. I've seen commercials for Training Day, thinking I'll have to check it out, since I really have liked everything I've seen Paxton in. It sounds like they wrapped up the season, but wonder if that means the end of a new show.

It gives me pause when so many I hear about that have just passed are younger than me.

Yes, this was a shock to me. I have not seen his new show but just watched him in S.H.I.E.L.D. It was the episode where they caught him and killed him. Eerie!
I loved his character in 'True Lies' and 'Twister'. I love Helen Hunt.

Bill Paxton's character was excellent in "Tombstone" as well as Wyatt Earp's brother.

I especially enjoyed his portrayal of Fred Haise in Apollo 13, and his character of the shady lying used car dealer scamming women in "True Lies" was hilarious.

It's a shame-- he was excellent in everything I ever saw him in, pretty much. He will be missed...

Later! OL J R

Me, too. That's always my first image of him.
...
Today on TV, they mentioned that he was undergoing heart surgery. Earlier reports did not specify the type of operation.

She is not aging well. I just saw her the other week on the NBC 90 year special. Almost didn't recognize her.

To this day I STILL can't eat a "greasy pork sandwich, served in a dirty ashtray".
