That looks like some of my old mil surplus chutes. Estes may have sold it, but I bet it was surplus or at least came from the same source.

Default Enerjet Chute Pic

Attached below is a pic of the chute in my original but opened Enerjet Nike Smoke.
It was impossible to get it to lay flat, but I took some measurements.
The chute is circular and is of an 8 panel design, alternating White and Red panels.
Diameter is 22".
The lines are twisted Nylon.
Hope this helps.

, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

My Enerjet Nike Smoke chute only has 4 shroud lines.
They are 34" in length.
One end is sewn to the left side of each White panel, and the other end is sewn to each respective right side of each White panel.

tb, are those old 'chutes 36"? Or, do you know if they were available in 36" diameter? If so, then it's likely that Vern sourced them from military surplus (which was my first guess).
