Rocket film 1968-1972 and 1979-1980
43 minutes worth of film including private launches, MASER (NAR section 128) launches, and about 25 minutes of NARAM-13.

Thanks for posting that footage, Roy.
Now I can see what NARAM-13 was really like. Before, all I could do is read about it in MRm.

I regret that I missed Howard Kuhn's Javelin non-flight while I was getting pictures of the end of the Fleischer-Pearson Vostok flight. But at least everyone can now see that the "flying scale Harry Stine" decidedly did NOT make "an excellent straight-up flight."

I've added a "table of contents" to the description and the first few comments.
You can go directly to what you want to see.

No kidding. I wonder why the flight was reported as an "excellent straight-up flight" in MRm?

That was fun to watch!
It was neat seeing G. Harry Stine in the video. Things sure aren't what they used to be. I love some of the new technology we have today, but the good old days were really cool too. You used to could fly model rockets just about anywhere that had an open field. Today, it's hard to find a place that will allow you to launch them anymore. But, that being said, the places that we are allowed to use today are pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing the video Roy. |

Thanks for posting Roy. That Composite Dynamics ProJet F motor flight was awesome ... and recovery with two chutes no less! Gotta love those old skool motors. .

That's really cool, I could see some of us doing the same thing way back when. Looks like an electro-launch with a lantern battery. Well done Roy. See ya at the racetrack?

Yep, the first couple of months I struggled with that stupid Electro-Launch and those stupider photo-flash batteries. Then the drug store got in that lantern battery, and I knew I had to get it and re-wire the launcher. But as you can see, I eventually dumped that for hooking it up to a car battery.
