Default Estes Gemini Titan #1978 info needed.

Does anyone have the following dimensions for Estes Gemini Titan kit #1978?

-length of main BT60
-details about the plastic conduits (length, width, profile, etc.)
-length of launch lug

Thanks!

This is off a built model. The launch lug is a standard 1/8" lug 1.250" long. The bottom conduit is 3.5" long and the top conduit is 4.125" long. The conduits are .125 wide and are half round with the tops being rounded and the bottoms square at about a 30 degree angle. You can probably find some Evergreen or Plasticstrut half round to make them out of.

Excellent! Thank you. How long is the main BT60?

I know the BT-60 on the #1978 Estes Gemini Titan is the same length as the BT-60 in the earlier Titan II kit. I have both built, but are in my storage unit.
I'm 95% sure they both used a standard full-length 18" long BT-60.
The plans on JimZ's site do not show the part number in the #1978 instructions.
That one was kitted during the phase where Estes Dumb-AZZEDly did not list part numbers in their instructions.
JimZ's site DOES however show part numbers for the Titan II which I'm 100% sure uses the same tube. My phone will not open .tif files and my laptop is down.

The Bt -60 is 12.5" long. Plans can be found here http://plans.rocketshoppe.com/estes/est1978/est1978.pdf

I agree the plan is there for the #1978 GT kit, however that plan shows NO part numbers nor no dimensions of the actual tube length.
Was the 12.5" confirmed ? That seems awfully short to me.
That sounds like the correct length of the MX-Missile tube, which was in the same 'era' and used the same fin unit as the Titan II and Gemini Titan kits but was far shorter.

I guess you did not see that I measured it off an old kit that I have built. Measurement was taken from the top of the body tube to the bottom where the fin adapter is glued on. Here are the instructions for the Titan II missile where it list it as 12.75 http://www.estesrockets.com/media/i...18_TITAN_II.pdf
I can take pictures as soon as I get new batteries for my camera.

Thanks. I looked at the instruction sheet for the Titan II ICBM and it does indeed state 12.75" for the BT60. The O.L. length in the Estes catalog for the Gemini Titan II is written as 19.375" but I don't know if that's with the faux nozzles or with the clear plastic flight fins assembly. The O.L. length written in the catalog for the Titan ICBM is 19.5".

I got out my Rockets of the World Book and did the math. Scale wise the tube should be 12.701. Add in .160 for the thickness of the fin adapter brings the total height or length before the plastic capsule and with out the engine bells 12.861. The 12.5 length that Estes supplied with the kit may have been a little short but it was not the first time that they took liberties with scale kits.
