Cross posting this on a few forums:
This video was posted on the 'I F-ing Love Science' facebook page.
According to IFLS it is a two stager S motor (S31/S30)

Pretty cool.
The thing that grabbed my attention most was the sudden counteraction to the rapid spin.
When it happened some text briefly flashed up about 'yo-yo de-spin' which I'd never heard of so I looked it up, very interesting!

I had never heard of yo-yo de-spin either.
Right about 1:35, it sure stopped the spin!
