The unmasked portions of the central are now painted white, the paint is dry and the tape removed. For the PNC, I found the most wonderful black enamel paint marker at Home Depot. It's made by Sharpie, it covers in one coat, and it has more than twice the amount of paint in it as a Testors paint marker. TBC

Now for the animal-print papering.
I slit sections of the printed paper and lay them onto the bare portions of the central BT with a thin film Elmer's white glue. There's a slight overlap at the end, so I use a straight edge and a #11 to slit it off and then join the ends of the paper--just like wrapping an SV (but without the corrugations.) To stylize the printed paper a little more, I then border it with 1/8" wide black pinstriping tape. Now the model is looking a bit more "servalistic" than just plain white! The animal print paper brings to mind Peg Bundy's pants. Or the kid's hatband in "Jungle Jim". Yes, I'm THAT old. TBC

As for the (7) fin tubes, I have something special in mind but I haven't worked out all the details yet. TBC

The black trim stripe really sets it off! The reference to Peg Bundy's pants did make me laugh. Thanks for the tip on the Sharpie paint marker.

The (7) fin tubes are painted and dry and the attachment point is unmasked.
Next I cover the ID of each tube with black construction paper. This makes the inside of each tube uniformly dark and (more importantly) makes each tube more rigid. Now for the stylization! I decorate each tube with cat pug mark decals! Time for a Scotch and a Fat Tire. Good night. TBC

I've now epoxied the tube array onto the central BT and added a 1/8" wide black stripe at the end of the central BT.
Now I'll "paws" to reflect upon the model thus far. TBC

....and Voila!
With it's single decal applied, the "wily feline of Tanzania", THE SERVAL, is finished! I like this one better than the one pictured on the kit's bag.
