Default Saturn V with LUT

Hello all,

Here is a photo of my work in progress Estes Saturn V with my version of the LUT. It is not scale but looks pretty cool...

The rocket will have a cluster of 5 motors and fly with the engine bells attached. I plan to finish this week if the rocket gods cooperate.

That's a very cool build. Will it launch from the LUT, or is it just for display?

It will launch from the tower. I am putting a socket to receive the launch rod on the base of the tower and will slip on a blast deflector.

You could even use little motors on the gantries to swing them out of the way moments before the launch. Would not be too hard to do given today's technology and what's available. Would be quite realistic!
