If you have an air compressor handy, I've had real good luck removing the nozzle after use and blowing it out with compressed air (my compressor runs around 100 psi, which is much higher than most rattle cans so it really cleans them out) - no need to use nasty chemicals to keep them cleaned out.
I also keep a number of old nozzles removed from empty's. BTW, I've been able to get the old style Krylon from Globalindustrial.com - bad news is you need to buy it by the case and the shipping is cost is pretty high. |

I build mostly vintage Estes rockets and don't really want to mess up my paint job with questionable Rustoleum so I also order the old style Krylon. I do have to order it by the case but it lasts forever and well worth it.

Problem is easily solved by using one of the following methods:
-an airbrush -a spray gun -Testors small rattle cans

I get my from Global Industrial https://www.globalindustrial.com/c/...b/aerosol_paint Search for "Krylon 5 ball" You need to buy by the case (six or twelve cans), and shipping is not cheap, but it's all I'll use when I've spent 100 hours on a nice scale model. |

Here is link to Krylon Acryli-Quik paint. Free shipping on orders over $99.
They also have the Krylon Tough Coat primer. I first heard about this from John Boren at Estes. Paint: https://www.fullsource.com/search/?...n%20Acryli-quik Primer: https://www.fullsource.com/krylon-a...s=KRY-A00341007

They're still clogging after you invert the can and spray till no more paint comes out?

Rusto 2X is a “spray from any angle” type can - inverting and spraying just sprays more paint - not the blast of nozzle clearing propellant/carrier like conventional upright spray cans. |

Another reason to HATE Rust-Oleum 2X
