My wife and I were at NSL in Geneseo, and not only spent some time on the field with Vern and Gleda (and they signed my 40+ year old Saros), but also attended the evening dinner and got to hear the story about starting Estes Industries. Plus ... had the great honor to sign the special Big Bertha for Vern’s home office/museum.

Several months later, we again got to see them at NARAM-60 at the Rocketeer’s Reunion.

What a memorable year!
