So far I've seen them at:

Great Landings at http://www.greatlanding.com/NIKE_AJAX_MIM_3A.html (I've purchased from him before and he's great to do business with)

Commonwealth at: http://www.commonwealth.net/rockets...etryframes.html
(I haven't purchased from them yet)

You can also order it directly from TLP and I bet other vendors will be carrying them again soon as well.

Sometimes you can find one on ebay. I sold one about 6 months ago. Good luck in your search.

I just got my Launch Pad Nike-Ajax in the mail this morning from Red Arrow Hobbies. They seem to have a lot of Launch Pad stuff available and it only took three days from date of order to receive it.

Heh I didn't think you could, but TLP appears to be back in business this week. Sweet.

The operative phrase there being "this week." I love their kits but its confusing trying to figure out when they are/are not in business.

They have been back in business for awhile this year... they are just now getting a flow of materials out is all.

Heck they even answered my questions on various kits

Yeah I was surprised the other day by a reply to an e-mail inquiry about their Nike-Hercules. I've e-mailed them 4 or 5 times over the years and that was the first time I got any response. Glad to see their back though.

The Launch Pad kits were widely available, then the owner became quite ill.

They became available for a while again, then went into hiatus while the owner moved.

They are widely available again.

One thing I think is very commendable is that the major dealers all got supplied with a significant number of kits at roughly the same time. Must have taken a sizeable cash outlay to put all those kits together and wait to deliver until there were enough on hand so the major dealers wouldn't be slighted.

Mikus,

I'm very surprised to hear you had a problem with Commonwealth.

It wasn't a big problem, some vendors are just snappier than others. Maybe it was a bad day, maybe they had to scramble to fill something on the order (I do tend to place big orders), who knows.

I'm not even saying not to use them, just that I waited a couple of weeks. As always, YMMV.
