Default Wanted: Estes Andromeda

Looking for a kit to build so the actual condition of the package (card) is not important. Missing decals are OK too since a kit this old will probably need reproductions anyway.

Thank you!

More Rockets offers a clone of the kit.

Keep in mind that the orange color these decals will not reproduce well using the CYMK color system that most hobbyists use.

Does the Morerockets guy use an ALPS printer? If not, he can't do good white decals either. I seriously doubt he has screen printed decals.

I have no idea what type of printer he uses for decals.
I built the More Rockets Star Speeder, Scorpius, and Colonial Viper kits.
Those decals were fine.

Those are white rockets, so there are no white decals. Too bad the guy doesn't have his decals in view in the photos.

Andromeda looks an Estes “bring back” candidate to me - simple nose cone, no special plastic parts from long worn out or thrown away molds, plenty of the kinds of Sci-Fi detail that Mr. Boren seems to like, even the decals aren’t all that complicated ...could even be a down scale version that’s flies on inexpensive 13mm motors.

At one time Q-modeling offered an upscaled Jumbo version.
A buddy of mine built and flew that one several times on RMS24 reloads.

The decals for the Andromeda is one of the reasons I started working on screen printing decals. I wasn't happy with the reddish color substituted.
