Default Bob's Builds 2017

It's now 2017 so I thought I would start a thread about my rocket builds for this year (I forgot to make a thread for my 2016 builds ).

At NARAM-58 this past Summer I was shopping at the FSI field store and talking with Dave Bucher. Actually, I was mostly listening and Dave was doing most of the talking. I purchased an Oso kit that Dave was selling. It was made mostly from original FSI parts except the nose cone was a cast foam item Dave had made for the kit.

When I learned that Dave had passed away in November of last year I decided to build the Oso kit I had bought from him. Progress was slow (Work, laziness, etc.) but I finally finished the model.

It was hard to decided what the factory paint scheme was suppose to be (The gray-scale face card doesn't provide any information). I came up with my own paint scheme and ordered the Semroc Oso kit decals from eRockets to use with this model (Quick service from eRockets ).

All done. I hope to fly it soon.

I can't take the credit for it.

Those are the decals from the Semroc Oso model.
The decals that came with the actual FSI kit did not impress me so off to the eRockets website I went.

Thanks, John.

How's your NARAM-59 scale model coming along?
