Default Vintage Estes Stinger 1905 Build

I have been pretty busy lately so I am getting a late start on my next build. I pulled out my next few builds but I will be starting with the Stinger rocket, simple and should fit into my busy schedule.

Pretty fast build, the fins are sealed with 3 coats of Brodak sealer and I am currenly adding the fillets, picture to follow. Tomorrow I will apply the Gloss white followed by orange. In the mean time I did find a good use for my old Vacuum former, works great as a downdraft table for dust. I will also post this in the technique section. Pretty basic, attach vacuum hose and sand away. Sucks the balsa part on the board and there is no dust, I was sanding inside for the first time. I also tried it with scrap balsa covered with Elmers wood filler, worked great.

Great use for the old vacuform. I use to make canopies for guys on another form with mine.

Have you been using the Brodak on the tissue - If so how many coats? The Spitfire looks fantastic.

This was a fast easy build, after Brodak balsa sealer I shot Old Krylon Glossy white followed by Old Krylon orange. The decals are simple and went on with no issues.
