Default Glacier Girl

While going through a box of stuff I found an old newspaper with Glacier Girl on the cover. I pulled up this site and she'll be in San Ann-tone this W/E.

Very cool story of saving an historic plane. I saw Glacier Girl at Aviation Nation at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas a few years ago.

An absolutely beautiful fighter plane!

The Germans called it the "twin-tailed devil." In the Pacific, one of them shot down Admiral Yamamoto in his transport plane.

Super sweet! One of my favorite WWII fighters. Super fast. I once saw a history channel program on them with the pilot of one, he told some hair raising stories of some of the dog fights he was in and other experiences. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole show.

Scroll down and read what Richard Bong did in a P-38.

Default Proud Bird Restaurant near LAX.

Here is another P-38 in Los Angeles, CA. at a restaurant south of LAX. The restaurant is named "Proud Bird" . I wish I knew this 10 years ago when I was there. Dang!

I like the name of this guy's blog.
