Default Heavy Duty Ziploc Bags for catalogs...

Does anyone out there know where to get those heavy duty clear Zip-Loc bags that are perfectly sized for the catalogs. I have a couple that came with catalogs I bought off of eBay and I want to get some more for my other catalogs...

I figured one of you catalog collectors out there must use them too.

Thanks,
Don

Try http://www.uline.com/. They have a large selection of "Recloseable Poly Bags." You can probably find other sources on the web, also.

Hi Don.

I would recommend that you use comic book mylar bags with the acid free cardboard backers. This is how I keep my collection safe.

Also, don't use the cardboard comic book boxes, but pay a little more for the plastic 'water proof' boxes.

I have had water damage over the years to my comic book collection; not the rocket catalogs/kits as I keep those in 35 gallon rubber maid tubs.

The paper and chemicals will react between catalogs and its best to keep them separate and their own containers.

I have even thought of transfering from mylar into graded hard plastic containers ... but I don't know if any additional value would come from a 'graded' model rocket catalog? Maybe?

Jonathan

P.s. Comic mylar bags/ acid free stifners, and boxes can all be had off of ebay at wholesale quantity prices.
