Default HPR certification pin in the mail

Be prepared to receive a package from the NAR containing your free pin.
It is a nice shiny trinket that you can wear with pride on the flying range.
Unfortunately they took the packages to two different post offices each with their share of idiots behind the counter. Both told them the incorrect amount of postage to apply.
You will owe $1.05 to the mailman.

That's strange - mine came yesterday with no issue. It was a loittle puzzling though. The two stamps on the padded mailer were never stamped by the PO, gonna have to recycle those!

There's two threads running on TRF right now regarding the pins, this is the first I've heard of a postage issue.

Mine arrived yesterday. No postal payment problems as far as I know. I'll check the mailer when I get home.

Luckily the mailman (lady) was just making her deliveries as I came home from work today.

It's a nice pin - $1.05 - pocketchange

Wonder why that is? Mine came with reusable stamps...

Mine had two "forever" stamps which were hand-cancelled with a pen!

That looks like 1.05 cents to me.

How about reducing our annual membership fees by a couple of bucks? Trinket is nice, but I would have preferred a reduction in membership dues.
