Was it ever used on any other kit? I think I scanned all of the plans and didn't see it anywhere else.

That nose cone was also used on the Manta Bomber #1928 and the new Asteroid Hunter #3224. Although I think the newer cone on the Asterioid Hunter is a tad different.
