Default Estes Army Hawk (2031)

Does anyone have the original plans for the Estes Army Hawk (2031)[1990-1992]. Also looking for decals for same rocket as I'm thinking of building a clone.

I have an original in a sealed bag.

I would be willing to part with it.

The bag is kind of dirty. I don't remember when I got this one. I have had it a while.

If you want it, I would like to open it and make a scan of the decals first.

Maybe even scan the instructions and fins first.

I also found a built version...no idea where that one came from! but it's painted in a rainbow pattern.

No! I didn't do that!

Thanks, That saves me opening the kit.

Now, Leo...let me see if I understand something?

You Googled the Estes Army Hawk and found your own web site?

Cool, I guess.

Probably easier than trying to remember all the stuff you have.

Anyway...

I have the Army Hawk decals drawn, on my web site and ready to print.

Just click, "ADD TO CART".

http://www.excelsiorrocketry.com/pr...?id_product=737

Later today I'll dig up the model I have and measure the fins. I'll post the fin pattern here.

OK, here is the fin pattern with a BOM, pretty simple.

You can make it with easily available parts.

and of course I have the decals.

Now the kit package says "Semi Scale Model of Hawk Missile System".

After looking at the built model I have I was comparing it to the real Army Hawk...

The fins are way way off
The nose cone isn't even close
The body is way too long and out of proportion
There is no tail cone like the real Army Hawk has
No conduits...no detail at all
The decal...I'm not sure where those came from

So yea...Semi-Scale

Ok... I'll holler... Someone over on TRF is looking for one of these, and I'm interested in simming it up.

I could use scans of the instructions, fins and decals (preferably with a ruler). I know it uses a BT-60AH nosecone, and a BT-60 body tube 18" long, along with a [EDIT] BT-20J (so it's an 18mm powered kit)[/EDIT].

Thanks!
Jim

It's 18mm not 24. The PDF Sandman posted has dimensions. That should get you
Started. The one I had was sold to another forum member so, that's all the help I can give.

I just double checked my source (the body tube/kit reference) and it would appear that I must have misread it when I posted. Sorry for any confusion...

Also didn't see the link when I first read the thread. I was looking for the instructions, and it was a tad late when I posted... Now it's only 4am in the morning.
