I Think Someone Got Stiffed
The seller covered himself by stating that HE didn't open this kit, but I think it was opened by someone and then stapled closed. What do you think?

Still, even opened, most or all of it's there, and it surely makes me nostalgic, so it's worth something more than nominal, but I can't see paying 117 dollars for it. So kudos to the seller for making a good deal. Doug .

To add my 2 cents worth, I could clone it for less than 10% of the winning bid since the Delta does not have does not have any custom parts or die-cut parts.

more cents:
I'd say the seller went above the usual ebay standard to fairly describe the item. The buyer had money to burn IMO. Parts is parts so I'd say the "value" is in the vintage packaging face card and checkerboard chute. Hope the buyer is happy. |

VERY Nice Astron Delta clone !
An original Astron Delta was the first two-stage model I built when I was a kid. Probably around 1979 or 1980. I still have that old thing in a crate of old numerous rockets I have not opened for probably 15 years.

Unless you bought a leftover from a brick and mortar, you got it way before that. It's last appearance in a catalog was 1973. Maybe you are thinking about an Astron Farside?
