Default transition size???????

Buba is cloning Estes' Bull pup 12D. So far, so good. I will be making two of these because I have 2 nose cones. What I don't have is the tail cones. So, what I need is the length measurement of the tail so I can make a paper transition cone or two. I want to see what a D engine will do in a Bull Pup so I may have to tweek the diameter just a little on the back end. Any information on that length measurement would be appreciated. Thanks Y'all.

I think I might still have a tailcone or two laying around from the $.88 Meijer Bullpup Launchables heist of a few years ago. I'll check and if I still do, I'll send you one.

Alec, not sure if you are aware of JimZ site for cloning...I found the Bullpup here http://www.spacemodeling.org/JimZ/e...12D/est1972.pdf -- according to the instructions, the tail cone is 1.125" long. The small diameter is designed to fit BT-50 tubes, so it could be used w/ a D engine.

BTW another good cloning site is http://www.rocketshoppe.com/ , a cousin of this forum

Hey Rocket Guy, Are we still good for the next club launch? wichita county went back under burn ban. Thanks for the numbers, I'll plug them into the calculator and see what comes up. Y'all have a good time at the pot luck. It's just too far for me to drive after work.

Walked into my shop when I got home from work and there it sat. It was like it knew it was going to be taking a trip. I checked my e-mail, but couldn't find anything. You might want to send it via PM. Lots more reliable.

So far. Always check the website the night before launch -- Bill L really tries to make a call early so out of town folks don't waste gas driving to Duncan.

here is the OK burn ban site so far looks clear
http://www.forestry.ok.gov/burn-ban-information

thx!

btw your email may have been victim of the gmail outage yesterday...

I have one. Obviously it's BT55 to BT50. The linear disance from shoulder to shoulder is exactly 1.134"

Thanks, but I think we've got this taken care of. I plan to try my luck with the paper thing soaked up with CA glue for one of them. Have you had any luck with that? I think it will make for an interesting thread to post as I progress in the build.
