Ah so! I learned something today--and all this time "The Vixen" has testified that I'm NOT trainable.

That is correct.

Maybe some day I will build my Maxi-Force kit...

Painting weather returned to SoCal this past Friday!

The Impulse received it's final color. I used Tamiya Lavender which I was hoping would be lighter than purple but I guess not.

Still, it looks pretty good, much better than the attach picture would make you think.

I will be sure to take a better picture when the model is finished.

Default ...And it is done!

After twenty-six years I have completed my Pro Series Impulse kit.

Whew.

I thought with the model almost finished being built and sealed & sanded it would be a relatively easy and quick to finish.

I was wrong.

Several weeks of poor painting weather held up the project but now that is all behind me.

My model came in a bit above the manufacturer's listed weight/mass of 8.3 oz.
About 50% above.
Mine weighed in at 12.3 oz (Less motors).
Originally assembled with Titebond the only epoxy used was during the fin installation and fillets.

First flight is to be performed at NARAM-60 with two Estes D12-5 motors.

I brought the Impulse with me to fly at NARAM-60.

I will fly it during the week but before it is flown I wanted to get a picture of it with myself and Mike Fritz of Estes.
