Question AVI 1973 Catalog -- USS Eagle

Where Centuri's ESS Raven and the Estes Interceptor collide?

http://www.ninfinger.org/~sven/rock...ia/73avi08.html

Incurably curious,

--Jay

(Who thinks the "Nike and Flare Patriots" from the 1974 AVI catalog look *very* familiar... but can't remember which one he had "back in the day")

I see more Quest Intruder than anything else.

(but then again, the Intruder is obviously inspired by the Interceptor, so ....)

I like the fact that this one uses E and F power instead of the much more common B-C power used by both the Centuri Super Kit and the Astron Interceptor

I believe that rocket was one of AVI's many "vaporware" kits. I've never seen one other than in the catalog.

based on the photo, and the known BT diameter, it would not be too tough to create a 'Phantom Clone' . Lemme see what I can work up with rocsim and a calculator.

Go for it, Fred! I wouldn't mind having a somewhat larger Intruder-clonish sort of a thing. The Intruder's T-25 (25 mm) body tube is kinda small.

Is that 1.6" diameter in the AVI catalog the same as an Estes BT-60 at 1.637", or is it something else?
