Wow! That's a nice lot. I think Harden sold chemicals for making your own motors back in the early 60's, and maybe a couple of kits to go with. Why do I think I remeber Stefan knowing something about them? Someone here does anyway. I have a couple of Krueger kits and an assortment of tubes 'n things that I bought on ebay from our own good Rocket Doctor. I never did get around to sending the plans to Scott. Maybe in the next couple of weeks S. |

I loaned the Harden catalog for Sven Knudson to post on ninfinger.org. I remeber hearing about Krueger, but had never seen a catalog.
Had a momentary thought that Krueger demonstrated some motors with colored tracking smoke at a NARAM, but then I recalled that was Kell or Kell Power. It was '67-'69 timeframe. They disappeared and I have never seen a catalog from them. Don't know if they ever sold any motors. Chas |

See in that Hardan Mfg. catalog that no mention of the actual fuels used in their solid or liquid motors was actually detailed.
The pictures of their "solid" fuel rockets in flight look exactly like rockets powered by zinc-sulfur (aka "micrograin") mixtures. The estimated altitude of 20K ft for thier liquid-propellant rocket seem grandiously optimistic, especially with zero mention of the fuel used. My guess is that very few if any of these flew and it was probably designed for some oxidizer that is virtually unobtainum by the average builder now such as RFNA or IRFNA seeing as there are FAR TOO MANY regs regarding individuals obtaining DECENT chemicals nowadays outside of a university lab.
