Launch horny!
I just spent the most beautiful weekend in Cincinnati (2005) history doing everything BUT flying. WHY, DOLORES, WHY!? I moved my father in law, cut the grass, took my wife out for her birthday dinner, and attended a family wedding that took me RIGHT PAST the VOA! I could SEE the vehicles lined up on the flight line, I was so close. WILL THIS EVER END???!!!???
(Hey, who's Dolores anyway?) Any of you guys get out to fly this weekend? Was it still fun? Do they still use balsa and paper? |

If it makes you feel any better, I spent the weekend washing the car, mowing the yard, etc. It was too windy to fly anyway.

Yeah, two launches of the Thunder Roc, one Vulcan and two X-24 "bug" launches. It's always fun, but having to walk about a eighth to a quarter mile through a roughly plowed field to retrieve the 'Roc put a little damper on things. I wouldn't have launched a small rocket to an altitude over 200', or I would have lost it for sure.

I got a chance to launch some Micro Maxx in my backyard on Friday after supper. I got a total of 8 flights in and lost 1 but found it 2 days later. What was depressing was that Sunday was sunny and moderately warm with almost zero wind and I spent the day fixing and extending fence lines. |
