Estes Trajector "cannons"
Were there any other Estes kits that used the red pods (cannons) that go on the tip cord of the Trajector's fins? Or are these completely unique to the Trajector?

I can't think of any personally, but I'll leave it to the historians to answer more definitively. That said, I don't like them much.
Recently I've been perusing John Pursley's vinyl skins, and came across this new one that shows the Trajector built without the pods: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Estes-Traje...AAOSwt5hYcYp k Now that looks mighty fine. |

It does look mighty fine. I just acquired a Trajector and a set of John's "NASA skins." I was going to take his recommendation to leave the pods off. So....what to do with the pods?

Ah, in that case you're one step ahead of me. I'm planning to get a Trajector with the NASA skin but was hoping to also get a Cosmic Interceptor which is now out of stock.
Please post your experience with the NASA skin! As for the pods... I suppose you could work them into some sort of scratch build. As I said, I'm not too fond of them so I'd probably just throw them in the old spare parts bin. |

Yes, they are only used on the Trajector kit. John Boren |

I flipped mine around on Trajector Number 1 - and of course one broke partially off on first flight! Think I'll stick to the stock configuration for Trajector Number 2, though I may paint them - red maybe, I don't really dig the orange. Regardless, great rocket that flew perfect on an E16-6. With the size of my local launch site I don't really want to go much higher than a BP E16 will push it.
