Default Stratolaunch change!

Hello All,

Stratolaunch is planning to begin operation by launching multiple Pegasus XL vehicles from their twin-fuselage, six-turbofan carrier aircraft. This article (see: http://spaceflightnow.com/2016/10/1...egasus-rockets/ ) includes an illustration of the Stratolaunch aircraft carrying three Pegasus XLs on hardpoints (pylons) affixed to the "inter-fuselage" wing section. This would make an interesting EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) powered R/C model airplane.

The plane will be built by Northrup Grumman's Scaled Composite division. Looks like it should come from Rutan. Maybe because it is Burt's vaunted Scaled Composites!!!!

I guess that division is Northrop Grumman's Skunkworks. :-)

If you google Stratolaunch progress, there are some assembly photos of the "Roc", some from a while back and some that might be around the time of the June 2016 press release when it was reported to be 76% complete, rollout late 2016 and first flight in 2017.
