Will be buying some of those C14's, but wish they were BP so we could have a booster motor.
What I really want is the B14-0

Thanks Roger and Jason....Black Max. Maybe I'll remember it now!

Easy to light is good. If they'd used White Lightning I'd wonder what the ...... they were thinking. Much better choice here. For W motors there will, I presume, still be the Aerotech-labeled D10s.

Roger, do you plan to carry them when they ship?

Maybe we could utilize the old Enerjet external ignition fuse delay trick, using fast-burning fuse (or fuse and a launch lug "whoosh tube" containing black powder, with another short length of fuse sealed into its top end) going to the upper end of the delay charge to make them, say, C14-1 motors. This would be problematic for minimum-diameter rockets, but for BT-50/ST-8 and wider boosters, it should work fine. Also:

There's no reason why they couldn't make a C14-1 (or maybe -0.5 or -0.75, instead of -1) motor, which could ignite black powder upper stage motors (or even other Black Max composite motors, if an Apogee Components-type "staging igniter"--a short length of green Visco fuse, inserted into the upper stage nozzle--was used).

Unfortunately we can't get thermalite or quick-match any longer without some cockamamie BATFE permit. That is how the old Enerjet motors were staged and/or clustered.

Yep, and cannon fuse is too slow.

Hmmm...with today's electronics and tiny yet powerful batteries, it might be possible to tinker up a timer- or accelerometer-actuated igniter, which could fire the C14's ejection charge at its top at maximum velocity, to ignite the upper stage motor. The whole unit, perhaps a "square cross-section torus" (with the ejection charge exhausting through the center hole), could fit atop the C14 motor. Such a device would also be useful for parallel-burn, booster/sustainer scale models of vehicles such as the Aerobees, the Iris, the Boosted Arcas I, the INTA-255, the Skua and Petrel, and the Cuckoo-boosted Skylark variants.

I've seen those, but they're a little big for this use, unless the booster airframe is fairly large. Smaller ones will probably be made sooner or later.

Too big for what? You haven't specified booster size, or what this rambling thread is specifically trying to achieve. The PerfectFlite micro timer fits in a BT-20 tube. Certainly small enough for even a small scale Nike booster. They might not work in a small booster, like an Estes Avenger. But then who cares? Use a B6-0 or C6-0.
