Default Looking for 10" striped parachute

Hello. I would like to find an Estes 10 inch striped parachute for my Mini Bertha clone. The kit was made in the 1970s, when Estes had the damon-era striped chutes with the black logo center. My preference would be for a red one, as it would match the paint scheme of the mini bertha. It can be used if it's in good condition. I have some other parachute sizes and colors that I would be willing to trade. I have some red striped 12" chutes which date from before they were premade. I also have some 24 inch premade striped chutes in orange with the dotted line around the center. And a few others. Let me know what you are looking for if you want to trade. Other items I could trade are an original BNC-20R which is the triangular nose cone from the WAC corporal, and I have a sprite tail ring. Thanks!

The '73 mini bertha came with an 8" chute

The '77 catalog says the mini bertha came with a 10" chute

But you couldn't buy a 10" chute

I have over 100 plastic chutes ... but no 10" striped with a black logo

Are you talking about this chute? It was also included in the EAC Viper and possibly other kits in addition to the Coldpower Landrockets.

Yep. That came in a few small kits along with the cars. I have one from my EAC membership Viper kit. I restored it years ago.

Thanks for all that info guys. Scott, since it was sold with an 8 inch chute originally, and that would be easier to pack into the rocket, I think that would be the best choice. Do you happen to have any 8 inch chutes in your extensive inventory?

The purple and orange drag racing chute kind of matches the color scheme of the EAC viper but I think it would be the wrong look for most other rockets.

Estes now sells 6" and 9" chutes, but they are checkered. They look similar to vintage Estes chutes. The 6" would be plenty big for a Mini Bertha.

I was psyched when I found out they re-released the checkered design. Saw a lot of them flying at the last club launch, and they are really beautiful in the air. They do have a small damon logo and the tied-on MIC shroud lines, but from a distance they look really authentic and I will have to get some for my 1960s era clones.
