You will have a hard time fitting a C11-0 into an original Farside-X booster (first or second stage) as they had 18mm motor mounts.

Of course, you can build an alternate stage without the mount.

Vent holes were very helpful for the C11-0 flights I was involved with. Without vent holes, the upper stage did not always ignite....

I drilled vent holes in both boosters...... along with no 18mm engine mount in the 1st stage

Did you drill the holes in the stage couplers ? If not where ?
I have a Semroc Farside kit up next in the queue.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

I'm interested in where to drill the holes, too.
I did a really good job on the finish of this Farside-X, and I'm gonna have a lot of problems with you people if it fails to stage.

Yep in the couplers. If I can get the time (and remember), I'll get it out and take a few photos of the holes I drilled.

Are all the C11's discontinued or just the C11-3 and C11-5?
The Estes website still shows C11-0 and C11-7 for sale.

I think all were discontinued. They probably just have extra stock of those two because they're the least popular.

I just bought several packs of C11-5's from BMS, so they have at least some of those (I can freely say this now that I have mine safely in-hand).

C11-3's are pretty much gone everywhere as far as I can tell, although there are probably a few hiding here and there.

I had a C11-7 still hiding in the shop, but it was in the same pack as the one that killed my Mega Mini Max a few years ago. I'm not really interested in trying it out.

.
C11's should not be in the F-it bucket. They should be in the produce every 2-3 years to populate the distributor channel bucket (PTDC-bucket).

Same with 13mm B's and 24mm D20+'s.

Technically with the Estes 29mm case they could do a core burning E as well. E40+
