Default Vendor fire sale @ TRF

Ever since Troj sold that place its been going downhill with the wind at its back.

We got booted off there a long time ago because we wouldn't pay him to use the vendor section.

You know its bad when its getting coverage on the NARs FB page

Yeah read about that on Rocketry Center IIRC yesterday... Commented over there on it.

The new owners are scumbags of the first order AFAIC.... They started going back on their word about what they would "never do" almost before the ink was dry on the title to the forum. Troj was a selfish idiot for selling it to them IMHO... It had always been owned by rocket hobbyists for rocket hobbyists till he stabbed everyone in the back and sold it to scumbag "web developers"...

Their shrieking response about "fake news" or whatever and then locking the thread just proves they're money hungry scumbags PO'd about being called on it...

SO glad I dumped the Terribly Run Forum 2.5 years ago now... That place has just gone from bad to worse!

Later! OL J R

I hope all vendors take advantage of Carol Marple's offer to post info about their companies, and posting period newsworthy info customers would be interested in, on the NAR Facebook group. With this being free to vendors, vs. TRF's requirement to pay $25/month, it's kind of a no-brainer.

The Facebook (FB) rocketry groups are incredibly popular, and there are several. They can be a pain if you are trying to find something from the past, but I am a huge fan of the various groups, and I was a very late adopter of FB.

Besides the NAR group, another very popular one is Model Rocketry Fanatics.

The fact that they locked the thread while there was discussion going on tells you all you need to know about TRF.

The only difference is when Troj owned it (and Rocketry Online) they limited their violations to banning and shaming and censorship.

Let's see a full original backup of ROL (especially chats) on a stable link.

I want to review the AT fire, the TRA refusal to certify CTI, the ATF Keystone cops incident reload going off in their fake terrorist van!

This is better than Netflix.

I haven't been posting on the forums much lately and was a little surprised when TRF contacted me asking me to sign up for their sponsorship program. The reason it surprised me was that I had financially supported the forum through automatic Paypal payments until the owner cancelled them. They told me they noticed I haven't been sending payments lately.... well duh.

I had to tell them it just wasn't worth $25 a month to post there. I think about half a dozen vendors still support the forum so some do find value in it. But I noticed the vendor banner ads are gone now. When did those disappear?

My thoughts too. And the final post from Admin prior to closing the thread tells you how much they think of anyone posting there, in general. Hard to imagine any vendor would stick around after that "verbal" (written) smackdown.

Having been smacked down by every online resource ever, let me tell you it is not at all new and typically they reserve special persons they personally choose. Not sure TRF has made that step in this case, but if they didn't they broke the first rule of blatantly preferential treatment!
