You have it upside down, that isn't 666 but 999, turn it, a little more, more, see, it's 999.
So, is this one going to be black with flames up and down the sides??

Default Finished Mine!

Got mine done this evening; made a slight mistake in applying the decal (part of the SEMROC logo got torn off ). I painted mine to "approximate" the build/finish of
my very first Astron Scout built way back in 1969 but lost at Rushing Park in Katy, TX in
January 2004.

Pics below (first is using flash, the second no flash). May be able to get a flight off as early
as this coming Saturday down at Needville, TX (Robert's Ranch) as I've been asked by a
TARC team tonight if we can set up for them to get their qualification flight.

Dave

Very nice build, I really like the colors.
I had the same problems with the decal , here I thought it was just me.

I probably didn't let the decal soak in the water as long as I should have, and that may
have contributed to the small piece that ripped off near the "S" where the SEMROC logo
is.

Other than that, I love the model and am just thrilled to have another Scout in my fleet.

I had the same problem with the SEMROC decal on one of mine.

The rest of the decal was fine just the SEMROC logo broke up.

I stole the decal logo from another kit so when I make that kit up I found a small pre Damon Estes decal to put in it's place.

I ask everyone to put their building comments on the "Building The Golden Scout "thread and have the photos posted here.

Thanks you

Default First Coat of Gold

Okay....I've been working on this for a while and decided I just needed to get on with it. I wanted to get rid of the nose cone to body tube joint and the Tyvek joint. I'll apply the second coat of gold tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Beautiful! I rushed mine a bit to get it to NARCON, and the gold paint really accentuated the nose/body seam despite what I though was decent filling. Your finish appears to be outstanding.

How 'bout showing it off this weekend at the Launch Crue regional?

No....won't be able to make it. Was going to try but a front end alignment that I thought I needed because the car pulled to the right turned out to be a new set of tires. Tread separation. DQ. Besides, the only scale model I had was my ASP left over from NARAM.
