Are you wanting it for your collection or to fly? The Sky Raider is super easy to clone, using a standard PNC-55AC and simple black decals that can be made at home. If you want to fly, go with a clone because a 1.325" rocket on a D12 or an E9 is pretty easy to park in the next county.

Most of the time a clone will work for me but there are some rockets where I had to build an original (the cut your own fins X-Ray I am currently working on was one). It's the nostalgia kick of busting open that original kit I guess.

I would prefer to have the original kit... I have thought about cloning and it's definitely something I can do but if I could get a hold of an original that would be preferable. Yep,I agree with you on the D engines! That's how my very first Sky Raider ended up in an oak tree for over 3 months.
