Default Interceptor Heavy

Hey all, a few years ago my Young-Lovely gave me a re-released version of the Interceptor. I started to build it way back when but it was put aside until recently. I'm ready for the decals.

For a lark, I decided to put it on the scale so I could run some sims with the ThrustCurve app. My eyes about popped out: 4.5 ounces! I thought I was putting that last coat of paint on a bit heavy to get it to gloss up, but wow. I also used epoxy on the fillets because it makes really smooth ones; I know it's heavy but holy fat-lady Batman!

The package says 3.85 ounces and suggests B6-4 and C6-5s (among others.) At nearly four ounces a C6-3 maybe, a B6? Uhhh, no. And at nearly five even a C6-3 is a bit dodgy.

So, who's got an Interceptor and how much does yours weight?

That's an Interceptor E in the back; it was a Hobby Lobby clearance that my wife brought home for $18 (less than half price.) Someone had ripped open the bag and taken the plastic parts - so I've been kit-bashing it over the past weeks.

My original weighs over 5 ounces and is built like a tank.
Flies fine on C6-5's, C6-3's, C5-3's, D10's and D21's.
It can fly on a B6-2 or B4-2 safely.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !
