Exclamation New Design -- Grosse Gertha

More fat jokes...

This was an attempt to simulate square tube fins. It's cumbersome, and needs to have a better mechanism within RockSim to handle odd shapes. I think it does prove RockSim has the capacity for better graphic rendering.

Length: 18.025"
Diameter: 2.04" (ST-20)
Fin Span: 6.11"
Weight: 2.1 oz

I have detected disturbances in the wash.
My wife bought me the leather bound trilogy for Christmas one year just after we were married. Funny that this should come up because I've been reading a Pink Floyd bio and Adams has been mentioned on several occasions. Apparently he and Gilmour were close. Odd, because I seem to remember him name-checking Dire Straits in the books.

Yeah, but only four existed when they did the special edition.

I didn't realize just how long ago the fifth book was written. I have a "special edition" hardback from the old SF Book Club, with "Mostly Harmless" included, and the publication date was 1996...

I like the intro to MH:

"...Anything that happens, happens...
"...Anything that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen...
"...Anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen, happens again...
"...It doesn't necessarily do it in chronological order, though..."

The "special edition" tag could explain things. I know I had to purchase "Mostly Harmless" seperately. Back then I routinely visited bookstores and checked for anything new by any of my favorite authors. I had to actually read a chapter of it in the bookstore to convince myself that it was, in fact, new.
