Default VSB-30 & Fogtrein rockets

Hello All,

Below are links to photographs, drawings, and documentation on Brazil's VSB-30 sounding rocket and their Fogtrein rockets (these are used for training sounding rocket launch crews).

Here ( https://www.google.com/images?q=VSB...CA&ved=0CD0QsAQ ) are links to data on VSB-30 sounding rocket rounds. Brazil's VSB-30 was designed as a "drop-in" replacement for the British Skylark (it flies Skylark payload modules and nose cones from the Skylark tower launcher at ESRANGE in Kiruna, Sweden, as well as elsewhere). It resembles the Cuckoo-boosted Skylark with its small-finned first stage, and its rhombic second stage fins suggest the earliest Skylark rounds. It would make an excellent FAI Scale Altitude contest entry! Below are more VSB-30 links, which contain drawings as well as photographs and data:

https://www.google.com/search?q=VSB...0.0.TgXk3lb-XmM ALSO:

Brazil has developed two training rockets for sounding rocket launch crews at their two national launch sites, and both vehicles would make nice flying scale models (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fogtrein and http://www.aeb.gov.br/?s=Fogtrein+foguete ). The Avibras AV-FTB Basic Training Rocket looks just like--and is the same size as--the U.S. Navy's Zuni unguided, tube-launched, folding-fin air-to-air rocket of the 1950s (which was later used for air-to-ground attacks as well), which isn't surprising, as several countries have manufactured the Zuni under license. Their somewhat larger AV-FTI Intermediate Training Rocket looks like a small sounding rocket. Here (see: https://www.google.com/search?q=Fog...gbv=2&oq=&gs_l= and https://www.google.com/images?q=Fog...Aw&ved=0CB8QsAQ ) are more photographs and information on these rockets, and Avibras' page on these rockets (see: https://www.avibras.com.br/site/en/...a-espacial.html ) says the following:

FOGTREIN – Training Rocket for Space Research

"AVIBRAS participates in this advanced technology program as the supplier of a suborbital training craft known as FOGTREIN. These are aerospace devices (rockets) fully equipped with telemetry, used for training ground personnel in the Brazilian Air Force launching bases. AVIBRAS's participation in this program represents the technological capability of the Company in the development, production and integration of rocket motors and complete rockets that use solid propellant." In addition:

Since some of the sites here https://www.google.com/search?q=Fog...gbv=2&oq=&gs_l= are in Portuguese, the FreeTranslation.com website (see: www.freetranslation.com ) can translate them into English.

I hope this material will be helpful.
