Anyone tried the Marco Polo recovery device
Greetings all..
Has anyone tried the Marco Polo recovery device for rocketry yet? I'd like a little input from people who might have used it already. Thanks in advance. |

Haven't tried it, looks like an expensive pet tracking device. Have you considered Tile or TrackR? Both use your smart phone to locate the object, and they are much more affordable. I use Tile, have one with my car keys, house keys, wallet, and cell phone. Easily fits inside a 1.9" dia. tube, if your rocket lands in tall grass or a cornfield, you can activate an audio chime and home in on your bird. I'm at the age where I'm starting to misplace things. This is a godsend. Only downside is the battery lasts for a year and is non replaceable, so you have to buy a new unit. But since they are so affordable, that's no problem for me. Or you can go with TrackR, which is slightly more expensive, but has a replaceable battery.
