Default Falcon 9 Dragon model rocket kits by Space X

Currently the Falcon 9 Dragon model rocket kits put out by Space X is not available right now from Amazon.

I understand that they will be back available soon, one improvement will be a pre-printed body tube.

I know that the body wrap was a challenge on this kit.

Look for it soon at Amazon.com

I dunno. I followed the directions on mine, and the body wrap went on perfectly.

But still, I think they should add real details rather than printing them on the tube.

Roy

You are experienmced, probably have built and flown hundreds of models.

It is very tricky to get that body wrap perfect.

Gus had detailed his building techniques on this one.

There are other issues as well with this kit, I won't get into that. I sent along my suggestions to them and hopefully, this go around, things might change.

Like I said, very shortly they will be available.

Looks like they got rid of the big BT sticker; using a pre-printed BT now.

Should help them sell a lot more.

The only remaining wrap is the capsule. Perhaps a decal could be made from the original? They peel less. Better yet, a molded, after-market cone with detail added and a small decal sheet.

Does SpaceX offer an "outer mold line" drawing w/ dimensions so you can build your own?

I had submitted many changes for the Falcon9 Dragon model rocket kit. I suggested that tehy also print the graphics on the capsule.

Many of their assembly methods leave much to be desired in my opinion.

At least, they went to the preprinted body tube, hopefully, they will make other changes as well.

Thank you for doing this! I ordered 3 of them last night. Did you also (if you can say--if not, I understand) make any suggestions for their Falcon Heavy kit?
