I think the scan of the fin is a little large. If you compare the length of the long segment of the root edge and compare it to the height of the tail cone, it's a little long. Needs to be shrunk just a little bit IMHO. Even so, cutting out a fin pattern from balsa to exactly conform to the contour of the boatail-body tube break is tricky.

That's where those reality build shows come in handy. Use cardstock to make a template of the contour, trimming until it is nearly perfect. Sandpaper can even be used to fine tune it if you are a bit ham fisted with scissors or x-acto. Transfer the contour line to the balsa, cutting just a hair outside the line. Test fit and fine tune with sandpaper.
