Default "MISS RILEY" . . . and QUENTIN WILSON

"Miss Riley", from October Sky . . . Plus, the obituary of Quentin Wilson ( "Prodigious" ) .

The rocketry club of Coleman High School restored the original "Miss Riley" rocket that was used in the movie "October Sky" . . . The purpose was to launch the ashes of Quentin Wilson, as a tribute.

Notice that the rocket is NOT painted as the "Miss Riley", used in "October Sky" . . . ( Blue Fins, etc. ) .

Rather, it is painted in the color scheme of what I believe the ORIGINAL "Miss Riley" rocket had . . . Can anyone verify this ?

I have no idea why the movie did not depict the original version ( if that was the case ) .

This PDF file is the obituary of Quentin Wilson ( it contains many images ).

"Prodigious" . . . God Speed, Quentin Wilson !
