I look forward to getting to know all you guys in future launches and meetings. Great club!

Sounds like you're ready to rock! Note that club events are BYO launch equipment, but there's never a shortage of equipment or help if you're not yet set yourself. Your feet warm yet?!? An ice dunk is sure way to end any day, hopefully the kids weren't to upset by it.

Yesterday was another first for me. After watching my niece qualify for the state bowling tournamnet in the early Am and my son Jeremy,s basketball game, I didnt start my trek to Bong until almost noon. I arrived at about 1 o'clock. With the waiver ending at 3, I wasnt to sure of my decsion but the need to smell some AP took control. Wow, what a difference 1 month makes in Wisconsin. In January it was in the 40's and very windy with no snow. Today temps were in the 30's, partly cloudy and about 9 inches of snow that hadn't been tracked thru.
I understand that Tim the Wildman used his camper to try and flatten some areas out for those without 4 wheel drive. I missed a number of launches but was able to get one up myself and catch a few other flights. I guess I hadnt reall ythought about it, but I was surprised after I made my over a 1/4 mile trek thru the snow, how fortuntate I was to find my rocket. All that was sticking up out of the snow was my yellow chute. Everthing had sunk in the snow.
Right before 3 pm Ben launched his 3 inch DarkStar. I was able to also get some good footage of his rocket. Below is my link to pictures.

I enjoyed my first true "deep snow" outing. Cant wait for next month.

Congrats to Kevin on his successful L1. Welcome to the club.

Dude, I AM ready to rock, lol (I hope). Been looking for a group to fly birds with for awhile. So glad I went to this launch. I'll be at the one in Johnson Creek for sure. Kids were fine. In fact, they all talked about what a great time they had. Experiencing those "I" motor skids go off made their day! Super loud, good eye candy. Can hardly wait to get more involved.

This forum automatically censors swear words... I guess I'm going to have to get more creative!
