Default "Small Sounding Rockets" pix

Hello All,

Here are photographs from Richard B. Morrow's (e-mail: Rbmrocket@aol.com ) 2000 book, "Small Sounding Rockets" (see: http://www.aeroconsystems.com/liter...ing_rockets.htm and http://traxellabs.com/smallsounding...org/photos.html ). It is out of print, but he intends to re-publish it in some form, perhaps on DVD (he needs to know how the DVDs could be encrypted, first--if anyone here could help him with this, all model rocketeers and space flight historians would benefit). Below is a list of the above-linked online photographs:

Rich was a member of LIARS back in the day. Been an awfully long time since we last met.

ANY club called LIARS has to be GOOD.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

He's still around (we corresponded in late January). A club name like that *does* suggest an additional event, which would involve judging verbal -accounts- of various model rocketry events (it was a good TV game show, too)... :-)

Coincidentally, the guy who NAMED the L.I.A.R.S., my cousin George, is snoozing in my guest room. He took the Amtrak out from NYC for a visit.

George isn't a rocketeer, but he came to the first get-together of Long Island high power folks in 1989, and coined the acronym (Long Island Advanced Rocketry Society) on the fly.

We were a pretty active Prefecture for about five years, before the fields on LI started to dry up.

Rich wasn't as active a flyer as others. His friend Mitch Pines, another early-days rocketeer, flew more frequently. He'd bring old Coaster kits to launches!
