Quest Accident
I've seen numerous references to an engine manufacturing accident at Quest, presumablyin the early 2000's. Evidently they shut down for awhile, then moved production overseas. But, I can't find any articles or postings stating exactly what happened.
Can someone please fill in the gaps? I'm trying to "catch up" on model rocketry history over the period where I was inactive in the hobby... |

Here is an archive of one of our section's news pages from 1998:
http://www.soarrocketry.org/archive/snnhobby1998.asp That will give you the gist of what was publicly available about it. I'm sure Bill will pop in to fill in any gaps.

Thanks, that fills in a lot., and gave me more search terms to find some other info out. So did Quest engine manufacturing never reopen in Arizona after that time? Did they ever determine what went wrong? Thanks, -Tim |

I'm sure it is still a terrible memory for Bill , a wound he may not want to re-open, but a lot of us would like to hear his story.
