Arley,

Thanks for clearing up the dim. I thought it was 1/8", but I wanted to make sure. I appreciate your posting. Was the foam ball already drilled out? If you did it yourself ,how did you center and keep the hole centered all way throught.

I have not built the rocket but the way I would do it is take 2 high power centering rings with at least a 54 MM Motor mount, tack them together with rubber cement so they can be puled abort after hole is drilled. Next place the foam ball in the centering rings to hold in place and using a drill press, drills straight thou the foam ball.

You could also clamp a 2x6 to the drill press and if you have a 3” hole drilling bit, drill a hole down into the 2x6. Next place the foam ball in the hole to hold it in place and then drill the right size hole straight through the foam ball.
