Default Cleaning out the car

We have a VW Cabrio that has in the garage since 2010. Today my son and I pushed it out to see what kind of luck we'd have getting it running and I started going through it to clean out some of the accumulated crapola that had been in it since the last ride in October of 2010. Opened the trunk and found a bag from Johnny's Toys, which back then was my weekly go-to place for the hobby, now sadly gone. Inside I found two cans of Testors paint, transparent blue and candy apple red. Not sure what the project was going to be. Not sure I can figure out a use for them even now. Also in the bag was a pack of E9-6 motors. Motors ran me $14.99 and both cans of paint were $3.79 for a total of $23.92.
I think prices might have gone up a bit.
Man, I miss Johnny's.

This has nothing to do with your car or rockets but it's a good tune with the name 'Johnny' and 'a car.'

I think you'll like it!

BTW, what year is the VW?

1997. It's running, but it has a whole host of "almost 20 year old VW" issues. I forgot to mention that I also found a pack a Swisher Sweets and a Macanudo in the console. That makes three cigars I've found in the last few days in oddball places throughout the house. I guess I'm all set for this Tuesday night.

Man, I miss Johnny's.

What temperature extremes did those motors experience? Are you about to treat us to some more spectacular cato pictures?

Where was Johnny's? I might have visited when in town for NARAM-47.

Yes.
You may have visited the Greenhills location. That was in the Beer Skunk's territory. Mine was the Latonia location, much further south. (And the original location, I might add.) Mom and Dad started shopping there when I was born, and they closed for good right around the time I turned 50, so we had a pretty good run.

I'm thinking those E9's have been converted into some pretty decent M-80's.

You would not believe all the great stores that have closed their doors in my area because of the big box stores. They have decimated this country for buying merchandise.
