Everything people have supposedly heard about a new Corvette is pure rumor-mill.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Yep. It's actually going to be a hybrid with a 22hp V twin Predator engine from Harbor Freight and electric motors off of Daytona shop fans.

I'm thinking OHC, 4-valve, direct injection. If they're putting that in ordinary Impalas, albeit 3.6L V6's, why not put the same setups on V8's, right? So a 5.7L V8 ought to be able to provide a durable 500+ horsepower, without forced induction. Tuners could probably coax over 600HP, at the expense of longevity.

Given we've seen some blown stock motors in recent years, adding a supercharger to such a 4-V, direct injected motor will probably offer some obscene horsepower

Yeah, if I'd'a thought for a moment, I mighta said 6.2

That said, I don't know much about the recent Corvettes. So I took a wiki timeout to read about the LS9 and LSA. I'd love to know how those product definition decisions get made - how the process works. For example, why the smaller supercharger? Is that to maintain differentiation of the Corvette from the CTS-V? Or is there some other, more mundane reason such as cost?

Anyway, just wondering out loud how y'all make some of the product decisions up there in Michigan.
