Default New at Hobby Lobby

Went to pick up some E9-4s and balsa today and found two of the new Pro Series kits on the shelf. Leviathan and Ventris, both marked at $60, which means my Father's Day gift is going to cost around $18 per kid. At the moment I'm leaning heavily toward the Ventris, but I might go with the Argent if I find one at one of my other Hobby Lobby locations.
Hmmm, chance of Saturday rain has risen to 50%, my wife will be out of town for the weekend, and it's payday. Might just have to do a HL road trip to see what I can find if the weather changes my other plans.

I was way ahead of you on that one

Bill will certainly be using a 40% off coupon implying a 36 dollar cost (60$ - 40%). Thus, we can deduce that Bill has two kids

Ah, O.K. At least he wasn't getting two kits and thus has 6 2/3 kids.

Went back today and only the Ventris was left, but they did also have some igniters and F motors on pegs next to it. Today I was more interested in the Blast Off Flight Pack. While I was in line a guy with his two sons was in front of me with an Alpha III set, another RTF bird, and some motors. We got to talking and I asked where he was flying from, (always on the lookout for a new field,) and he said "some soccer field somewhere", which I understood completely. I told them that I flew off of a baseball field and that as long as they didn't try to fly the rockets they had on C6-5s, they'd be okay. The older boy looked stricken and held up a package of C6-5s that they were about to buy. I suggested they go with B6-4s for the Alpha and A8-3s for the RTF bird, so they headed back to make the switch. Hopefully I prevented a "fire and forget" situation and their interest in the hobby will last more than a weekend and a handful of flights.
