Tango Papa Decals - Is it SAFE?
Hi Folks. I wanted to order some decals from "Tango Papa Decals". However, they are not answering the phone or returning my phone calls. Is it safe to place an order with this company?

We've been using Tango Pap for many years and they are great! Like most rocketry related websites it's not a full time business. Send them an email, they'll get back to you. They have many hard to find decals or can custom make anything you want.
Evey decal on our website came from Tango Papa. Check them out. www.vernarockets.com Randy www.vernarockets.com |

Tom of Tango Papa is an air traffic controller, so he may not be able to respond as quickly as some would like. I have two of his Mars Lander kits and many sheets of decals. Please give him some time to respond.

BTW, I have used Tango Papa before (in 2007, IIRC). It was a pleasant experience and the decals were of good quality.

Tango Papa makes a pretty decent product from what I've seen, but he's a seldom seen entity at national events or on boards. Gordon at Excelsior makes excellent decals, has excellent service, and is a very high profile guy in every way. I've been to four NARAMs and Gordon has been at every one. My money is on, has been on, and will remain on Excelsior.

I thought Tom was a pilot....but either way, he's gone for several days at a time and works on the decals when he is home. He always got back to me when I ordered kits and decals from him, but I haven't placed any orders in several years. His decals are printed with an ALPS printer and are similar in quality as Excelsior, but without the instant customer service Gordon provides.

There are several good places to get decals but as for the quality of his Tom's work, the first custom decal he made for us was early 2003. While the rocket has been well taken care of, it's now been flown 26 times and the decal still looks fresh. No fading, cracking, peeling, etc., still in great condition.
One of our Vipers got hung on a phone line for 3 months June-Sept. in Alabama rain & humidity and when finally recovered, the decals were in better shape than the rocket. Randy www.vernarockets.com |

Was not aware Tom is an ATC.
My father is a retired USAF/FAA ATC.
