First Model Rocket in 1960
This was ordered from the Central Rocket Company in Wisconsin . We still have the tube it was shipped in; we use to store a flag.

Never heard of that company.
Plastic nose cone is new, but the spin fin unit was sold by Estes, for the BT-40, for a few years. I actually found one on a beach in 1970 or so, and used it on a scratch built model. Thanks again for the cool photos.

The nose cone in this old kit appears to be the same as the old red rubber one last sold by Estes around 1965. It's described and illustrated on pages 52-53 in the Estes 651 catalog. Catalog number 651-PNC-40H, illustration H, fits a BT-40 body tube.
