Default Branching out a bit

I've got several new, never been flown birds for this years big field flying season, but I couldn't leave well enough alone and had to go looking for something else to build. The last couple of years this meant FSI upscales, but this week I spent some time in the THOY plans. Tonight I ordered parts for a Wren. Anyone ever fly one of these? Kinda reminds me of a roided up Fat Boy.

The Wren was a really popular kit. You could put a large range of motors in it and it was relatively inexpensive. The Condor and Falcon are my two favorite THOY kits.

It is one of my favorites, if you build light it flies on a D12 in low wind. The old version had a short nosecone but the one I got has an Aerotech nose cone.

The original THOY would be the short LOC cone and the Aerotech cone was used after Rocket R&D bought THOY.

I bought the new Aerotech cone, so mine will be the R & D version. Not TTW fins I'm guessing, based on the fin scan? I was auditioning paint for it today.

Actually, it was TTW. The fin pattern was a tracing from a built model.
